FVTC serves over 900 adults from more than 60 countries every year!



What is English Language Learning (ELL)?

ELL is a language program designed to meet the needs of adults whose native language is not English. Courses focus on reading, writing, speaking and career skills in six levels of instruction.

Each level is designed to provide students with an academic environment in which to learn the English language as quickly as possible.

Field trips and seminars that focus on the following topics are available to all students:

    • Federal and State Government
    • Banking and Finance
    • Local businesses and Commerce
    • Museums
    • Hospitals/Medical System
    • Plus many more!
As a part of ELL classes, students learn about:
    • North American Culture 
    • Academic Programs
    • Career/Workplace Skills 
    • Study Skills
    • Computer Skills
    • Citizenship Preparation
    • TOEFL Preparation

Fall 2010 Semester


Classes began on August 25 and end December 21..

  • Enrollment is regulated.  Registration for Fall 2010 classes is open until end of November 2010.
  • Please call ELL Office to make an appointment for your student orientation or registration.
  • Schedules vary according to level and campus.

Program Costs

Classes are FREE!  Students only pay:

  • $10 Registration Fee (Every Semester)
  • $5 Student Identification Card
  • Textbooks (cost varies per level and schedule)
